"You Shot Me! I Got A Four-Year-Old Daughter..."

(From KTVU.Com)
OAKLAND, Caif. -- Law enforcement officials urged patience while they investigated details surrounding the fatal New Year's Day shooting of a 22-year-old man by a transit agency police officer. Bay Area Rapid Transit Police Chief Gary Gee said on Sunday that the agency is "committed to completing an unbiased, thorough and detailed investigation" of the shooting death of Oscar Grant.

"This case is not even four days cold. We're in the early stages of the investigation and we will do a very thorough job," he said.Several unanswered questions remained after BART officers went to Oakland's Fruitvale station to investigate reports of a supposed brawl on a train on which Grant was riding around 2 a.m. Thursday.

A friend of Grant's who was with him on the crowded Oakland train station platform at the time of the shooting said Grant pleaded with officers not to harm him. "Oscar yelled, 'You shot me! I got a four-year-old daughter,"' said Fernando Anicete. "Oscar was telling us to calm down and we did. We weren't looking for any trouble."

This Brotha Done Seen It All...

No Really...

(From Yahoo.com)
George Francis, the nation's oldest man, who lived through both world wars, man's first walk on the moon and the election of the first black president, has died. He was 112.

Francis died Saturday of congestive heart failure at a nursing home in Sacramento, his son, Anthony Francis, said Sunday.

"He lived four years in the 19th century, 100 years in the 20th century, and 8 years in the 21st century. We call him the man of three centuries," said the younger Francis, 81.

President Bush Gets The Boot (Not 1 But 2)

Sunday morning, my father was blowing up my phone asking me if I have seen this yet. This is shit... hands down... the funniest shit I've seen all year. Regardless of your political affiliation, you have to find this shit comedy. But seriously, as close as that man was, and knowing the consequences that will follow after this act (and we all know Secret Service is STILL whoopin his ass as we speak), you couldn't tell me he couldn't hit Bush with one shoe!?!?!? (Going for the bullpen). As a matter of fact, I heard, low key, that the Dodgers and Yankees are now in a biding war for this guy now.

But who knew Bush was that quick? This further makes me wonder if this dude is low key, Agent Smith or something, lol!!! Something interesting I found out is the reason why ol boy threw a shoe of all things..., is because in Iraq, one of the most disrespectful things a person can do is show the bottom of their feet, especially when walking into a Mosque. Real talk tho, don't be surprised if you find that shoe on E-Bay in next couple weeks.

Now Mr. West has throwin' his name in the hat...
(From Hiphopdx.com)
After the tremendous success of Kanye West's Graduation, fans have been patiently waiting the arrival of his next brainchild. Well wait no more. Multiple blogs, including Nahright and respected DJ Semtex's official blog have begun reporting that Ye's next venture will be out before year's end. MTV UK has also reportedly received confirmation of the projects saying: "both Jay and Kanye are set to release new albums before the end of 2009. It's well known Jigga has been working on a new LP- likely to be called The Blueprint 3 - with another West produced track "Jockin' Jay Z" already leaked to the web. Kanye was not expected to release a new album in 2008 but the follow up to Graduation now seems likely to be with us in the near future!"

Kanye's next single will be called "Love LockDown" and his 4th LP is on track to hit stores in December. According to MTV UK (but not confirmed) "Love LockDown" will be available for download on Sept 8th.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwww...... stay tuned. (I'm going to be MAD broke by the end of this quarter, lol!!!)

Shm... Jesse, Jesse, Jesse.

I don't care what anyone says. Jesse is not stupid. He made be old and senile, but he's not stupid. Jesse has been in the media spotlight for close to 40+ years and knows about turning off your mic when the camera's stop rolling. You can't tell me he didn't do this shit on purpose for some attention. Plus, it not just the fact that Jesse is still salty in regards to losing his presidential bid in 1984, but if you follow Jesse and Obama, you know really there ideologies is the true conflict.

Jesse, during his whole career has always been one to "rely on the government." Meaning he believes that the entire reason why Black people are in still are not equal in America, is because the government does not support us. Does our government truly give a damn about Blacks? Not that much.

HOWEVER, in that same era where most of Jesse career was made, groups such as The Black Panthers brought forth the ideas of personal responsibility for self and for our communities. Meaning, we can't really on anyone else, we gotta do this on our own. The reality is, even today, the government does have the power to assist the American people, but ultimately, that change has to be conceived and nurtured BY THE PEOPLE. This is the Obama's point of view.

And you know where Jesse is, Al is right behind him.

"We don't sit up and say what do you think about this one? We don't gossip like that.." BULL-SHIT!!! There is no way you can possibly defend this shit. These niggas are backpedding more than Deion Sanders.

Honestly, this whole this is one big "nigga moment" caught on nation television. Can be summed up into one image that has been real cause of why we, as a people, are still not on the same page...

90 Is The New 30

Ok, check this out. This past Saturday, my mother lend our house to a client of her's (that I found out later had family connections through some of her and my stepfather's friends), for her grandmother's 90th birthday. Now, LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR, this is NO ordinary 90 year old. She's lively and parties like she's still in her 30s. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her getting dance on to all the new records. I mean, she was getting hyphy with the best of them! She had drink and was having a ball with her family.

Her family (especially her grandson) would go on to tell me about how she would go to the clubs with him. And don't mean the the old folks club. I mean the 21-30 year old clubs. How all the youngins would dance with her and she would be out till' 5 in the morning!!! I was in tears laughing, and in disbelief. You don't hear things like this everyday.

Futhermore, beyond the fact that she can still party, is the fact that here is a woman, beyond her twilight years, living her life like there's no tommorrow. Shit, just the fact that she is 90 and still cohesive is a blessing itself. But this woman is dancing and partying at 90!!! I know 70 year olds that can't even do that. That is a straight up miracle. I had to get a picture with the woman.

I told her she truly an inspiration. She told me no matter what, "Do what you love. Keep dancing, keep making music, do what makes you happy. Have fun with it, because that is what life is all about. Enjoy your life."

Don't worry Grandma, I got you.

Sidenote, here is some pics of Key and I taking a recording break last Friday and checking out the Lakers serving the Sixers in a blowout.

Lak Show is looking good this year. I predict them finishing at least, 5 in the West. You heard it hear first folks. You can quote me.

And oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMS!!!!
